THE WEEKEND: June 28-29

Saddle up. There’s a stellar lineup of astrological events in the heavens today. The Moon enters practical Taurus early Saturday morning and lines up in a very agreeable trine to dependable Saturn at 9 AM which brings smiling faces to the breakfast table. Good news follows as the Sun and Moon line up in a positive sextile at 2:16 PM Saturday afternoon. Evening skies are excellent for social plans as the Moon sextiles Venus at 11 PM and vibes are good for romance, art, music and a raid on the cookie jar.

Records will be broken on Sunday as a high-octane Mars Pluto trine begins to power up in the heavens. This is an excellent signal to clean out the garage or pantry—Pluto transforms and heals situations. Mars has energy. And the coast is clear. The Moon trines easygoing Jupiter at 8:47 AM and then sails out into calm seas. She will sextile friendly Uranus at 3:12 PM and time will fly. One foggy moment shows up at 5:18 PM when the Moon squares dreamy Neptune. The fog clears quickly past this moment but a challenging Moon Mars square awaits you at 1:43 AM early tomorrow morning (CDT), or just before midnight in Seattle or SF (PDT). Be sure to convert the times given in Skywatch, 5 hours West of GMT, to your local time.

  1. Man, I don't know what else was going on early this AM, but I was plinking on my guitar just before bed last night, and came up with an idea for some music, and stayed up until at least 4AM recording (and embellishing) it…. Thank goodness for my Vox Tonelab tone/FX processor and headphones that let me do that at all hours and not bring the cops out for a visit…. :^)
