The March Letter
While McCain has Jupiter trine Neptune and then Venus which translates as a broad base of support. And Obama has Jupiter trine his Mars giving him an abundance of energy and enthusiasm to share with others. The timing of events in our lives is also unique, just like the pieces in our birth chart. I don’t like to study these charts much as you can’t really predict what people will do with their powers. And November is a long way off. McCain has Uranus conjunct his Saturn on April 4th. That’s the sign of a possible heart attack or an extraordinary load of stress – knock him out of the race? Dunno. Obama, and this is interesting, has three planets in Leo like Bill Clinton who has four in Leo – they both have Sun and Mercury in the sign of the Leader. But how will Obama handle the job? Dunno. This is why I don’t get too cranked up trying to predict the outcome. Astrology can clearly define time lines and energy shifts in your life. What you do with the changes is always up to you. A good example is Tiger Woods. I see birth charts with much greater potential than Tiger’s. His birth chart is closer to ordinary than to super star. He has Mars Retrograde, for goodness sake, the planet that rules athletes. Yet, he has maxed his potential in a way nobody could have predicted. I have done a lot of talent evaluation for sports and business women, and his chart would have come across my desk and been deleted from the keeper file, as it’s not that special. Ha. Tiger Woods. And I watch his chart as he fights off stressful planets and times and still wins. He directs his energy better than anyone I’ve ever seen. But he’s not presidential material. He already knows the way to his field of dreams…
A wild kitty is hiding out under our deck in the back yard. I caught a glimpse yesterday and put out some leftover salmon for him/her last night. It was gone this morning so I put out more. And a little bowl of water. The poor thing is weak and fearful – so awful. We have had two kitties, both named Chuck, and both rejects from the world and barely able to stand up sometimes. Leslie rescued the first Chuck who would have a spasm and fall off the couch. The second Chuck found us in Austin and had no claws or teeth – equally weak and screwed up. But they both had their best years with us before they passed on to kitty heaven. We both have Leo planets. Meow. Cats love me. Leslie has Venus in Leo. They love her, too.
Settle the bet: Obama and Bill sit in a room. Who does the kitty pick?

I felt the same way about George W., and something terrible did happen. I hope I'm wrong this time!! Is there something in the country's chart or in Sen. Obama's that might verify or nullify this awful feeling? Thanks.

— Josie Feb 20, 08:37 AM #it makes so much sense now… I have 6th house jupiter conjunct pluto sextiling my libra sun conjunct neptune and the kitties and I have a very profound loving connection. So much so that when I am traveling, they seem to find me and run out from wherever they are hiding. I ADORE them all! My husband calls me the big cat mom :)

word on the street is his birth time is 1:06 pm or 1:15 pm which gives him a Moon in Gemini…which fits…

A nervous kitty wouldn't go to either of them. Neither are patient men. I need to say the following because of all hype for change. Change does not occur at the top of the political food chain. It occurs on the ground at the local level. No matter who gets in they are dealing with a deeply entrenched congress. As Lance notes astrological prediction are subject to the power of the individual, or to power at large. The work does not end with the election of a president. It's ongoing and never ending. If you want change you must make change in your own town and your own state capitol – which honestly means making change in your own life to include more political action. Knowing who your state reps are, understanding the cost of services, where the $ goes and setting priorities is just the tip of the iceberg. Thanks, I'm off the soap box now.
