Letter from Lance

One line of red thunderstorms came from the northwest, and another from the southwest and they met over our little piece of the south Texas coast. Two small tornadoes were spawned right here in town that night that took out power lines, trees, even turned a huge bus rv over and over like tumbling dice. Five people went to the hospital – all survived. We lost power for the next 34 hours and spent Thursday night in a motel room that had air conditioning. And that really made us appreciate our little nest when the power came back on Friday morning. It was an incredible storm. We got an inch of rain in 45 minutes. Some places got five inches.

Our lakes are nearly full now. The corn is up to your shoulder and ears are forming. And the cotton is green, green, green. The plant is not exceptional – it’s just a bunch of leaves about a foot high. But the color is rich and when you look out into a field and see nothing but dark green cotton plants, one color, for as far as you can see – it is a fabulous sight and makes you understand how bountiful the Earth is, if we treat her right. So, while the crops are all in first class shape here in south Texas, all eyes are on the gulf.

One answer to our dependence on oil is a local wind farm in Taft, pop. 3,000, that will be completed this month. This is the first time I’ve read the numbers in the newspaper and gotten a feeling for what the windmills cost and produce. There are 186 turbine machines, 420 ft high, outside this poor, little ole town about 25 miles north of Corpus Christi. The turbines will produce enough power for 115,000 houses! The company pays $1,000 a month to the farmers for each windmill on their property. This is a big-time boom for the people and this city. It’s a win-win deal for them, and for the Earth.

And if you haven’t heard, the forecast for hurricanes this year is high. We were lucky last year and very few storms arrived. With the powerful and unusually provocative planetary alignments that are forming up ahead, I am certain that this year will be different. As I reread the July issue I think I’m a bit over the top with high drama. Sorta sounds like Dragnet. But there are some really difficult markers up ahead, days to reduce your vulnerability and responsibility level, if possible. Days to keep it simple.

The upside of all this stuff in the heavens over the next two months is that the strength and experience you acquire now will be of great value in the future. The test will end in mid September as these tense planetary patterns relax and fade away. Healthy survivors usually get promoted or at least something better to look toward. That is the promise of a Cardinal T Square. A change for the better is up ahead. Be patient.

  2. Uranus retrogrades every year for about four months…

not a big deal…Rx planets suggest a time when we need to digest and reconcile the events that took place when the planet was in direct motion.

it’s probably most noticable to Aquarians, as Uranus is their ruling planet.

  3. I don’t know, Lance. I would go with the first impression it is usually right. Now you have let your practical mind talk you out into something less dramatic.

I recall a time when you used something to the effect of “change the world as we know it”. I commented on it, you changed the text. I believe you were right the first time.

  4. Being a Capricorn with an Aries moon and Cancer rising, I already feel the effects of this major T square. I have been jobless since March and I now have homelessness glaring back at me. I care for my 75 yr old mother which makes this very difficult for all of us with no family to offer support. Fasten your seat belts!

  5. god bless you…it’s hard and harder up ahead…

reminding all to help out as you can with money and love…

a really tough patch is just ahead…
