A Letter from Lance

23 January 08

Leslie and I got wind of the new energy that’s ahead in 2008 the day before it started. The weather, and our moods, had been low and murky for weeks around the holidaze. Not really into celebrating. Not forgetting what was lost. Not having certain people here. Not. And Mars Retrograde. But after it was all over, on the last day of December, the Sun took total control of the heavens and our moods as the clouds parted. And on a glorious, halcyon day we headed for the south Texas coast and drove out on the beach at Padre Island. It felt fabulous. The air was warm, the ocean was blue, but the sand was a little deeper than I thought. And Leslie and I got my truck stuck (she didn’t do it; I did) and we couldn’t get out. Hostical pheiffer!! Quack! This is not good, I muttered. But then I look up and three young men in a big boy truck with huge tires are watching me and drive over to help us as soon as I get out and start cussing. A tall kid offers to pull me out and I am amazed that he has the nylon belt all ready to go. He gets under my truck and ties one end and ties the other to this huge 4×4 truck and pulls me out in 30 seconds. Unties the rope, won’t take any money and they drive on after a handshake and big smiles all around. And off we go happily and have a lovely afternoon. Ending up on the patio of a restaurant drinking a beer and eating burritos. Reflecting on these three guys, 20-25, following me and watching me get stuck, and I’m thinking they were there to help all of us get out of the deep sand. Leslie agrees. And that’s what we see for the new year. Go for it. Get out on the edge of where you want to be. And if/when you get into trouble, look around. The three wise men come in many different uniforms. And help is available if you need it. Angels are on call…

I did a radio show in NY City yesterday and readings on the air. One man called in to ask when he would be able to pass his CPA exam. He said had tried to take it five times and never got there. One year his father died, the house caught on fire the next year and so on. He had good reasons, but in his chart is Mercury square Pluto. He doesn’t believe in himself and he’s afraid. He has very good astrology to take this test this Spring and I told him that. But he has to quit talking himself out of it. Good lesson for all of us there. What are you talking yourself into and telling your self is true? Planets in earth signs tend to materialize the mental/emotional demands that you make – that is their job. So, this is a good year to work on directing your will and mind towards constructive and positive directions. 2008 will see a long list of big winners on the world’s stages – the people who are committed to their destiny. The list of losers committed to selfishness and irresponsibility will be sadly extraordinary, too.

Be sure to read ahead in this issue and note the March kiss and quack days in your calendar. The Skywatch is excellent up ahead as Retrograde cycles cease and a big series of positive markers show up. And pay attention to what happens around Jan 25 when Pluto enters Capricorn. This is a big deal.

Peace and love,

  1. Hi Lance & Leslie,
Today is a special day—Epic times at hand! ‘Dark and Murky'energy seemed to envade and peremeate everyting the last 8 weeks or so. The last couple of days, and especially today, there seems to be so much more of this same type of heavy energy but with a change, a shift of energies with promises of positive things to come. Pluto's transite through Sag changed me in so many ways—healing to a higher spiritual level. I think of the beatiful Phoenix rising from the ashes that had one been a raging fire turned to hot coals, then becomig ashes. Transformation—now conceptulization. There seem to be no way of putting Plutonic energy into workds. Thank you for this letter—
    Your friend,
    María Jacobson

  3. Yes, well put! The phoenix rising from the ashes! My Sun in Sag and Mercury in Sag… in the third house of communication, siblings, neighbors, blah blah blah…. with Pluto affecting so much more than thought possible. Swear I could write a book on it! The energy has been lighter over the past few weeks. Pluto has truly been therapeutic and spiritual experience. Great information!

  4. Gorgeous Lance on the second reading even. The winds are blowing here on the Connecticut coast, as I sort out what's important and discard what isn't. Welcoming the personal and ‘global overhaul' now. Thanks for being the lighthouse keeper.
