April come she will................

6 April 10

A beneficial note is that Mercury will trine the best researcher of all, Pluto, during and after this Rx period. You can solve major problems and find the answers to your questions in April/May as Mercury trines Pluto three times: the first trine is on April 5/6, the second May 3 when Mercury is Rx, and the third will be on May 19 after Mercury turns direct. Put a triangle for trine on those days in your calendar. Note who calls you then, too. Although May 19 has other complications and is noted as a quack day.

The big event in the heavens this month will be another Saturn Uranus opposition, exact on April 26. This is the old guard vs. the new. Authoritarian pressure, the conservatives, against the need to make changes, and the radical left. Children and teenagers won’t be able to put a name on their feelings, but they are likely to act out in unusual ways during this last week as the stress in the Skywatch increases significantly. This powerful opposition (once in 40 years) has been hanging out in the Skywatch for months (the first exact alignment was the day Obama was elected to office) but will crank up the tension level during Mercury Retrograde. Keeping the balance in our lives is important with this pair. Something old works; something new makes it better. Compromise is more productive than ultimatums in most cases. Saturn has now Retrograded back into Virgo on April 7 and opposes Uranus in Pisces. This pairing suggests issues in our life around health, the workplace, our diet, and our pets -Virgo rules all. Complicating this picture is that Saturn will inconjunct foggy Neptune on May 3 adding one more element of confusion to this particular Mercury Rx cycle. Things may not be what they seem with Neptune around – be very careful with credit cards and all financial transactions during this Mercury Rx. Best if you postpone important changes/purchases in your life while Mercury is Rx. Wait until after May 11 and let the Skywatch clear, and you’ll make much better decisions. Plus, the world will be ready for you and your message. Often new products come on the market at the end of Rx cycles giving you more choices and a better price. Test this theory. Window shop an item during Mercury Rx. And wait until after May 11 to buy it and see if you don’t get more satisfaction: better features, price color. KISS DAYS: 1, 5, 6, 11, 13, 17+, 20. Use the day + of Grace for something dear to your heart. Better to schedule important appointments on these days before Mercury turns Rx. QUACK DAYS: 21, 23, 25, 26+. Slow down and stick to routine on these days – problems with computers, electricity, cars and crazy people will be more likely as they are all ruled by Uranus. Saturn will bring delays and misunderstandings as well. This last week of April and the first week of May have some of the most difficult Skywatch that we’ve seen so far this year. Pay extra attention to the kids and critters on these days as mishaps are more likely. And if you get bad news in this time period, get a second opinion after May 11 – they could be wrong.

  1. Looks mighty grim. I remember Saturn in Virgo, and it was NOT a pretty time for me at all. Not in the 1970’s and not the past couple years ago. I do have to keep in mind that Saturn is also known as Justice in the tree of life. It is restriction. A restriction that takes the electricity, and gives it form. It is the pipe that restricts the water, but makes it flow where it is needed. It is restraint, but it is also temperance (not the no no to alcohol kind). Temperance is a tempering of emotions and appetites. Saturn does this. In the Rider-Waite tarot deck, Temperance has one foot on land, one on water. It pours water from one chalice into another. It bring balance and peace to an otherwise chaotic world. Saturn isn’t always about being boring and prudish, or restricted liberty. Rather, it brings the harmony of total freedom, with responsible action. Saturn my not seem like much fun at all, but without it, fun wouldn’t exist in our world view. Chronos (Saturn) is also the ruler of old people. At 57 (only three years away from my geezerhood) I can see that in my life. Saturn tempers the wild and crazy youth, and brings my maturity to fruition. This year, I have a new song to keep in my heart. “Begun Is The End” by Joel Mull.

Thanks again Lance for this most insightful look at April.

  2. This Saturn/Uranus opposition is the opposite of the one in my birth chart. Saturn was in Pisces and Uranus in Virgo that time around. It also seems to coincide with a lot of things finally starting to turn around in my life in the areas of finance and change….
